RIP JACK BRISCO AND STANLEY EVERS

I just learned of the death of Jack Brisco, one of the most talented wrestlers ever to lace up a pair of boots. In the style of forerunners like Lou Thesz and Danny Hodge, and successors such as Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle, Brisco was a much-respected champion as both an amateur and professional wrestler. For details about Brisco's life and death as provided by SLAM! Wrestling's Greg Oliver, click HERE.

Subsequently I learned the sad news that Stanley Gilbert Evers, father of my longtime friend Lance Storm, died today at the age of 68. This one hits much closer to home and I wish that there was more I could do than simply extend my most sincere condolences to Lance and his family.
